Agreement
By texting our number or using hiimguy.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, text STOP to opt out at any time.
The Service
Got a Guy Home Network ("Guy") is an SMS-based assistant that helps homeowners save contractor recommendations, share them with trusted private networks, analyze quotes, and communicate with service professionals. The service is operated by Got a Guy Home Network LLC.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Guy. By using the service you confirm you are 18 or older. You are responsible for any use of your phone number on our platform.
SMS Messaging
Message frequency varies based on your activity. A typical user receives 1–10 messages per week depending on how actively they use the service.
Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
To opt out text STOP at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages.

By providing your phone number and texting our number you consent to receive SMS messages from Got a Guy Home Network related to your account, contractor recommendations, quote analysis, group activity, billing, and service updates.
We do not send promotional or marketing SMS blasts to users who have not initiated contact.
Accounts and Groups
Your account is tied to your phone number. You are responsible for keeping your phone secure and for all activity on your account.
Groups are private networks created by an admin user. The admin is responsible for the members they invite. Admins can remove members at any time.
Free tier allows up to 15 members per group. Paid tier ($3/month) allows unlimited members.
Top contributors — users who add 10 or more contractor recommendations — receive complimentary paid tier access at our discretion. We reserve the right to modify this program at any time.
Contractor Information
Accuracy — you are responsible for the accuracy of contractor information you submit. Do not submit false, misleading, or defamatory information about any contractor or business.
Recommendations — your recommendations reflect your personal experience and opinion. Got a Guy does not verify the accuracy, licensing, insurance status, or quality of any contractor listed on the platform.
Market pricing data — quote comparisons are based on anonymized data submitted by users and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute a professional appraisal or guarantee of fair pricing.
No endorsement — Got a Guy does not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any contractor. We are a platform for sharing peer recommendations, not a contractor referral service.
Pro Accounts
Contractors who claim their profile on Got a Guy agree to the following:
- Information provided during claiming (availability, service area, contact details) must be accurate
- Got a Guy may display this information to users searching for contractors in your area
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Got a Guy reserves the right to remove a pro profile for fraudulent activity, excessive negative ratings, or violations of these terms
Family Care Mode
Family Care Mode allows an adult family member ("the caregiver") to set up a shared contractor assistant for another adult ("the recipient"). By setting up Family Care Mode:
- The caregiver confirms they have the recipient's consent to set up the service
- The recipient must confirm via SMS reply before the service activates
- The recipient can disable Family Care Mode at any time by texting STOP CARE
- The caregiver understands they will receive information about the recipient's contractor interactions
Got a Guy is not a medical monitoring service, emergency response service, or elder care platform. Family Care Mode is a home services coordination tool only.

Group admin subscriptions are billed monthly at $3.00 per group via Stripe. By subscribing you authorize Got a Guy to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $20.00 (Basic) or $50.00 (Pro) via Stripe.
Cancellation — you may cancel any subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
Failed payments — if a payment fails your account will be downgraded to the free tier. Your data is retained and you can resubscribe at any time.
Refunds — we do not offer refunds except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error contact help@hiimguy.com within 30 days.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Got a Guy to:
- Submit false or defamatory contractor reviews
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate any person or business
- Attempt to circumvent the platform to contact contractors outside Guy in a way that defrauds the platform
- Use the service for any commercial purpose other than the personal home management it is designed for
- Scrape, copy, or republish contractor data from the platform
- Submit spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or fraudulent information
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
Intellectual Property
The Got a Guy name, logo, website, and software are owned by Got a Guy Home Network LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without written permission.
Contractor recommendations and notes you submit remain your content. By submitting them you grant Got a Guy a license to store, display, and share them with your chosen network as described in these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
No warranties. Got a Guy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of contractor information, market pricing data, or AI-generated quote analysis.
No contractor liability. Got a Guy is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any work performed by a contractor found through the platform. All agreements are between you and the contractor directly.
No emergency service. Got a Guy is not an emergency service. Do not use it to contact emergency services or in situations requiring immediate assistance.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Got a Guy Home Network LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Got a Guy will be resolved by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's rules, not in court. You waive any right to a jury trial or class action.
You may opt out of arbitration by emailing help@hiimguy.com within 30 days of first using the service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you via SMS before material changes take effect. Continued use of Got a Guy after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to conflict of law principles.
